Truckee Meadows Community College is a community college located in the U.S. state of Nevada primarily in the city of Reno. From 1971 to 1979 the college was known as Western Nevada Community College. Its current name is based on its primary service area, Truckee Meadows in Washoe County, Nevada. The college president is Philip M. Ringle. The college has over 250 faculty and is accredited by the Northwest Commission on College and Universities.

Programs

The college offers a university-transfer program and a wide variety of occupational and applied technical programs.

Longer non-credit courses (14 to 16 sessions each) are also offered: Ida Williams, for example, teaches Italian for Travellers, and Jean Woo teaches Mandarin Chinese.
